Technology is shifting the way we shop and retailers are adapting to the changing market. According to the Food Marketing Institute, nearly half of Americans are now buying groceries online. More and more stores are integrating technology into their operating models, giving customers added control and convenience.
In North Richland Hills, you’ve probably noticed several of our grocery stores and retailers offering online ordering and pickup services. These convenient options not only save you time, but when you use online services at stores in NRH, the bulk of the money you spend and most of your taxes stay local, helping schools, paving streets, and keeping you safe. Check out the list below for a breakdown of grocery pickup and delivery options in our City.
CVS Pharmacy Curbside Pickup
What it is and how it works: Curbside Pickup is an online pickup service from CVS that allows you to shop from 1000s of non-prescription items and have your order delivered right to your car. Shop on the CVS Pharmacy app for the products you need and you will receive a text when your order is ready for pick up. Park in the designated parking spot and reply “HERE” to the text. An Associate will bring out your order and load it into your car. Get started at www.cvs.com/content/cvs-express.
When: Same-day pickup is available.
Where: Curbside Pickup is available at two of the three CVS Pharmacy locations in North Richland Hills (6401 Precinct Line Rd. and 6320 Rufe Snow Dr.)

Where: Two of the three Kroger locations in NRH offer Clicklist including the Kroger Signature at 9135 Boulevard 26 and Kroger Marketplace at 9150 N. Tarrant Pkwy.
Pricing: Pickup prices reflect the price in-store on the day you place your order, but there is an additional fee of $4.95 per order for Clicklist.

Check in on the app or call the store when you arrive and your order will be delivered to your car at the store in the designated parking spots. What it is and how it works: Instacart lets you shop from local grocery stores through www.Instacart.com, then sends a personal shopper to pick up and deliver your order to you the same day. This delivery service lets you shop major grocery stores through its website, and then sends your order to one of its personal shoppers. This personal shopper goes to the store, picks up everything on your list, and drives it to you in their own car. If an item you order is out of stock, your Personal Shopper will make an appropriate replacement and contact you to verify.
When: Delivery windows start as early as 9am and run as late as midnight, depending on local store hours. Many customers choose to have delivery within 2 hours, while others opt to schedule their delivery up to 6 days in advance.
Where: Instacart partners with Aldi, Kroger, Sam’s Club, and CVS in North Richland Hills.
Pricing: The delivery fee depends on the size of your order and the delivery time that you choose. The fee for each delivery will be displayed when selecting a delivery window during checkout, before you place your order. Please keep in mind that all orders must be $10 or more. There's also an option to join the Instacart Express membership club, which offers free delivery on 2 hour and scheduled grocery deliveries over $35 for $99/year.
