The American Planning Association recently named Hometown in North Richland Hills as one of six Great Places in Texas. This recognition is based on design, functionality, sustainability, character, quality, and community participation. Hometown is one of the first New Urban Traditional Neighborhood Developments in North Texas. With schools, offices, shopping, parks, hockey rinks, a waterpark, library, and recreation center all nearby, the Hometown development aims to be an enjoyable and safe place for Texans to live and visit for years to come. This recognition is a great honor for our community and we thank the American Planning Association for designating Hometown as a “Great Neighborhood.” Other communities that made the “Great Neighborhood” list include Downtown McKinney, Downtown Plano, Montrose in Houston and Old West Austin in Austin.
